How to change a fuse in your light strings if your lights are out
If you find a portion of lights out on your tree, always the first thing to do is to make sure that all extension cords and light strands are plugged in correctly and securely. Look closely for any cords that are not plugged into the other lights or central cord. Please reference your instruction manual to see how your tree lights are supposed to be connected.
If a portion of lights are out on your tree, the cause could be the fuse inside the cord. Changing the fuse is very easy. Watch our short video to find out how!
Your lights should come with a couple of extra light bulbs and fuses. You can also find spare lights and fuses at almost any hardware store or large retail store that sells Christmas lights. (Always read the instruction manual or the components themselves to find out what to buy for your tree.)
First, make sure your tree is turned off and unplugged before dealing with any electrical components!
